Greenscapes & Gargoyles

Located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Greenscapes & Gargoyles began as a landscape installation operation offering a small gift shop.  Since our store opening in April 2001, we've almost grown to full capacity, filling every inch of our 4000 square foot store.  Our great customers have urged us onto the internet and we are proud to bring you the unique and extraordinary.  Next time you are searching for a gift for that "person who has everything and needs nothing," look no further than Greenscapes & Gargoyles!  Check back frequently as many of our items are one-of-a-kind, collector's items, or limited stock and once these items are gone, they're GONE!

Over the past eight years we've had a few customers who believed gargoyles to be evil, ugly creatures.  In reality, gargoyles are guardians.  Gargoyles adorn cathedrals all over Europe.  Many buildings in New York City, Washington D.C. and now the Lehigh Valley boasts many gargoyles.  In France, gargoyles were originally part of the drainage system; the water would run out of the throats of these gothic creatures and make a gargling noise, hence the name.  The word gargoyle originates from the French word 'gargouille,' which literally means 'to gargle.'

Enough of the history lesson.  Basically, we think gargoyles are cool, and that they should be in your garden, on your rooftop, adorning your fireplace mantle, bookshelves, or office desk.  We also carry a wide selection of cast stone fountains, statuary, benches, & planters which are not available through our website at this time.  Thanks for visiting our site and be sure to call, snail-mail, or email us with any product questions or comments.
